We, house captains, have came up with an excellent idea! We thought we could have an ups and downs box for every class! This idea is for all pupils to show there feelings. This will cause you to not have your feelings trapped inside! You can put happy feelings and sad feelings in here, so it will make sure that you get your problem solved! You can put anything in it at ANY time, so don't be shy. Once a week, house captains will look in the box to see if there are any problems that need solving! And of course, any amazing things that need to be celebrated! The boxes have arrived, and we only need to design the boxes. This will start after Christmas!!!!!

learning walk/helpwr heddiw
Today we went for a learning walk to find out how helpwr heddiw is being taught in ever class. This is how we organised ourselves:
Dylan - reception,
maizi - beech,
Amy - willow,
Sadie - sycamore
cerys - holly
flossy - ash
leon - cherry
here were some of the response that the children suggested alot however they think think it could be improved by using new sentence patterns and we will be get going in that area. Mrs Pugh has given our teachers feedback and they were happy that pupils were enthusiastic and extending their sentences. We all enjoyed going around the classes . We felt very important.

Welsh assemblies
For the past few weeks, Mrs Pugh has been encouraging the children of Coedpenmaen Primary School to be able to extend their sentences instead of using the same ones over and over again. For example, many children seem to always use the same answer for the common question 'Sut wyt ti?' which is usually dwi'n hapus achos yn y ysgol. However, Criw Cymraeg has come up with some new answers which may help the children, such as: gweithio glad fy ffrind o'r enw...
Chwarae pel-droed ar y lard.
Fy hoff pwnc I ydy__achos__
Achos is boring! So to make welsh a little bit more exciting, we have found a new word for the boring old achos...Oherwydd! To make sure children use this word, we are encouraging them to use it in their sentence patterens and welsh writing.
Also the welsh word of the week is........Dewch Ymlaen, which means come on!
Many children can use this, even on the yard, wether their playing football games etc.
A few days ago, the children of Criw Cymraeg, went on a Learning Walk, which means we went into each class to observe the children's welsh. Every class was absolutely fantastic, and all of the children participated, which had shown that they had practiced. We also asked the pupils on their opinion of welsh, and how they think it could be improved. Many of the pupils had honest opinions which we found very interesting, this proves that they have been extending their work and want to push themselves. Overall, the learning walk was very enjoyable and it was very intetresting to see how each class used welsh and we also observed each class's welsh display.
